Indian cuisine is known to have rich traditional dishes with authentic flavours. Rasa restaurant is one such restaurant that goes beyond the ordinary Indian restaurants in Dublin and is a delight to your palate. The restaurant is known for takeaways and dine-in experience.

Nestled in the heart of Stepaside, Rasa provides ample parking space for your convenience. As you step inside, you will find yourself embraced by an oasis of tranquillity. The interiors boast a serene charm, seamlessly blending with a calming ambience. It is an atmosphere that elevates one’s dining experience, creating the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.

Having recently visited Rasa for a weekday dinner with my husband, I can attest to the popularity of this establishment. I highly recommend making reservations, as the restaurant tends to get busy, a testament to its well-deserved acclaim.

Mango Lassi

Our culinary journey began with a refreshing start – Mango Lassi, a non-alcoholic drink that struck the perfect balance between heaviness and deliciousness. It was a nostalgic nod to the mango season in India, providing a sense of home away from home.

Chicken wings

For starters, we delved into the exquisite Chicken Wings, coated with a flavorful blend of honey, ginger garlic, turmeric, Kashmiri chilli, and soya sauce. Each bite was a burst of taste, setting the tone for the culinary adventure ahead.

Tandoori Prawns

Our curiosity led us to Tandoori prawns, a delightful twist on a classic. Accompanied by mint chutney, these jumbo prawns, marinated in yoghurt, Kashmiri chilli, and lime zest, exceeded our expectations.

Butter Chicken

Transitioning to the main course, we could not resist the allure of Butter Chicken, a timeless favourite. Tandoori chicken tikka pieces bathed in a rich onion-tomato masala, infused with mace, cardamom, musky fenugreek, cream, and honey – a dish that, while heavy, was an indulgence in every sense.

Lamb Chettinad

Equally enticing was the Lamb Chettinad, a spicy revelation compared to the slightly sweet Butter Chicken. Spiced to perfection with mustard, curry leaves, onion-tomato masala, coconut, whole red chilli, and fennel, this dish achieved a harmonious balance of flavours.

Garlic Naan
Keema Naan

To complement our main courses, we opted for a trio of naans – garlic, keema, and plain. The warm, pillowy naan served as the perfect vessel to scoop up the rich gravies, a combination that remains a personal favourite among Indian dishes.

While our culinary adventure at Rasa left us satiated, we could not explore the realm of rice dishes or desserts this time. However, it leaves the door open for future visits, a testament to the diverse and tempting menu that Rasa has to offer.

In conclusion, Rasa is more than just a restaurant; it is an experience that seamlessly blends the traditional richness of Indian cuisine with a touch of modern elegance. If you seek a culinary journey that transcends the ordinary, make your way to Rasa for a taste of India that redefines your perception of Indian dining in Dublin
